Zimbabwe Power Company is the leading generator of electrical energy in Zimbabwe and supplies the bulk of the nation’s electrical power requirements from its five Power Stations. The company is inviting suitably qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the following positions based at Kariba South Power Station
POST B: Principal Engineer Projects and Planning (1 POST)
Qualifications and Experience
- A Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Equivalent
- Membership of a Recognised Professional Institution
- 6 years relevant experience of which 3 years should be at senior level
- A qualification in Project Management and knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares and produces a five year maintenance rolling plan for the station
- Prepares and produces yearly maintenance plans for the Station
- Prepares, plans, coordinates and tracks major overhauls, major outage and statutory inspections
- Monitors and controls implementation of major overhauls and statutory outage works for the station to meet specified targets
- Ensures effective utilization of the computerised maintenance management system at the Station
- Co-ordinates preparation of tender documents and management of all station capital projects
